Recently, Flowtherm helped a customer with a very large tubes and fittings order.
Flowtherm’s sales manager Rejo, completed a recent order for a client worth at $750k. This $750k order of tubes and fitting was a huge achievement for Flowtherm this year. The customer was looking for multiple different tubes and fittings within a short time frame. The customer was seeking Sanitary tubes, ASME BPE tubes and fittings. Specifically, the customer needed ASME BPE tubes and fittings SS316L and AL6XN with the material finish of SF1 and SF4. Furthermore, the customer needed these ASME BPE tubes and fittings in sizes ranges from 1/2” to 4”. There were five orders and packages of the ASME BPE tubes and fittings which were worth $750k. Additionally, they needed these urgently for a project. Therefore, Flowtherm had to organise for these tubes and fittings to arrive promptly withing six-to-eight-week time frame.

Rejo who was handling this sale, chose Kinglai as the major brand that they would distribute to the customer. This was the right solution as they kept majority of the tubes and fittings in stock that the customer was looking for. Furthermore, as the customer required to know a correct lead time due to the urgency of the project, Kinglai was the best option to follow through with as it was easy for Flowtherm to quote a very specific lead time. Additionally, Flowtherm also utilised CSI, a US company. We used two companies as CSI stocked the special AL6XN material which could be easy transported in a very short amount of time. Although the large order for tubes and fittings created challenges for delivery, Flowtherm swiftly took care of it and was able to achieve the short delivery window for our customer. We were able to obtain the AL6XN material within 4 short week’s which was very effective with the required fast track delivery.

The major quarrel we were faced with with this project was shipping. Shipping and delivery are always very hectic and unpredictable at times which would be a potential issue as the pumps were needed urgently. With a requested short six-to-eight-week delivery time by our customer, Flowtherm had to have quick action in organising and preparing the products for order and delivery. Additionally, transportation of the very long 6.1meter tubes would be extra unpredictable with delivery due to the size. Moreover, with multiple shipments of these 6.1-meter length tubes would be an additional strain on the delivery. However, Flowtherm had overcome these unpredictable shipping issues time and time again and found that it would not impact greatly. Our expertise and understanding of products and shipment allowed for us to find the most efficient means of getting the products to our customer as swiftly as possible

Therefore, despite the fears with the unpredictability of the delivery time with these large fittings and tubes, Flowtherm’s team worked hard in getting all five of the tube and fittings orders to our customer on time. Thankfully, with the hard work and help of Flowtherm’s team, all the orders were safely and quickly delivered within the desired delivery window.
